thread starter
It would be cool to be able to rename my movies after they have been compressed.
It would also be cool to be able to choose different compression settings per movie when I add them to the queue.
Thanks for the great software! +

This would of course require a little work from Sony too. But, I woul dreally like to have all of my contacts from my Mac's address book in my PSP. PocketPSP can do this by transferring pictures (they are big too), so that you can see the info. But because they are all pictures you can't search the text. My PSP has been taking over for my aging Palm Pilot (I never use the to-dos or calendar). And being abole to have contact lookup would be great.
So that is the feature I would like to see, contact management.

A "Sync Progress" indicator would be useful, it can take a while to sync a couple of movies and at the moment there's no way of telling how far it has to go.

Oh, and not having to have the PSP connected to use the Movies, Music and Photos tabs, I'd like to leave the computer encoding video while I'm elsewhere playing on my PSP!

Shirohagen: Uncheck "Use sync profiles" in Advanced if you aren't using them...

Shirohagen: Status section.. has % synced

Thanks Zigzag, hadn't spotted the sync progress in the status section, and I guess I'll just not use the sync profiles at all now then.
Cheers!

Speaking of a todo list: I think we'd all love to know what's on the horizon for PSPWare. I've read several great suggestions in this thread - perhaps you would be willing to share an up-to-date a priority/feasibility list? (If for no other reason than to restart this giant thread.)

-I would like to see VOB support so we can drop a VIDEO_TS folder in for compression/syncing.
-a PSP status tab to show what is on the PSP. This could show file sizes so you have an idea how much room you have. Better yet, a "Toast" style bar that moves in real time as you check items to sync, showing if your chosen items to sync are less than or more than you have room for on your memory stick.
Kick ass program, thanks!

Yeah, I would like to know what next for PSPware. I love this program, way better than iPSP. So tell us... what new features are in store for us PSPware users? Thanks

Everythings cool, i think the simple things should be added soon. Such as a like cleare button, that just goes through your mem card and basically wipes the movies, music, and photos. Also a space feature, basically just in that little grey bar above or something that'll add up all the things you are about to sync and it would say how much space its gonna take up.
As for later on, a design change, the current list form is unfriendly when you have a lot of movies. Scrolling through them all is not as easy as it could be. Otherwise it works, and i'm happy.

I have a new request. When converting a movie in PSPWare, it provides a nice progress indicator letting me know how far along it is. That is, until it reaches "Finishing". When I'm doing whole movies, this "Finishing" process takes an extremely long time, with no indication of what is being finished, or the amount of progress/time it will take. Can this be given it's own progress indicator? Thanks.

I have a request:
I thought it would be a nice little feature to be able to convert a video to a specific size. As in there should be a size selector in increments of 1mb whenever you wish to convert a movie file.
+
I second having the ability to rename movie files after they are compressed. Doing this through PSPWARE would make it all that more crispy.
+
I request the ability to automaticly convert the music into wanted format and bitrate during sync. This way, if you don't have a big memory card, you dont have to convert down the songs in itunes before putting it in to the PSP.
+
I'm not sure if this has been requested yet, but I'd like to be able to manage my PSP memory stick information WITHOUT it being in my PSP. I have several memory sticks and the ability to sync to and (especially) even reformat then using a card reader rather than having to rip the one in the PSP out and put the one I want to 'perform maintenance' (eg: load movies/song/pictures onto or reformat) into it.
