It would be cool to be able to rename my movies after they have been compressed.

It would also be cool to be able to choose different compression settings per movie when I add them to the queue.

Thanks for the great software!

It would be nice if I could resize the window, because I have long lists of albums, playlists, films...

* knowing roughly how big the movie will be after it has been converted. maybe a completion percentage.
* the option for it to run like a regular app. a dock icon, and no menu bar icon. i do not keep the app open, i run it when i need it.

I use my memory $ticks in all my $ony devices. Anytime I mount one of these cards in my camera, printer or media reader PSPWare pops up and gives me an agreeable message that the card does not look like it is formatted for the PSP. Could there be an option to not present that popup? Although it is informative, it is also annoying to have to see it every time I mount a memory $tick.
I see some great ideas in this post. Version 2.0 should be awesome.
Thanks for such a great product.

I recently bought myself a nice big 200gb secondary SATA drive. I'm filling it up by ripping DVDs using a program called Handbrake, and then using PSPware to play them on my PSP when I'm bored. Problem is that any movie over about 1 hour and 44 minutes is just barely too big to fit on a 512 meg memory card (with a working space of 470ish MB.) I know that Handbrake has an option to set a variable bit rate, and try and use that to reach a filesize that is under a given number. Sadly, I want to be able to have the full-res versions of my rips, and not go direct from Handbrake to my PSP (PSPWare is wonderful for organization.)

I have a bunch of smaller gripes, but none of them haven't alreayd been mentioned, and this is the only one that I really, really want to see: "Adjust quality settings to fit movie on disk' or 'Adjust quality to fit movie within X megabytes.'

I'd like to be able to quit PSPWare when I want to. Right now, once it's up and running, there's no way to turn it off short of restarting my CPU. Why is that?

I'd like to make an alias of a DCIM/100MSDCF folder, then put that alias into the PSP folder, then rename it "PHOTO". Then when I sync (if that would work one day) I'd get all synchronized pictures inside the DCIM structure. PSP should (hopefully) be able to find the pictures (because "PHOTO" is an alias). The goal is to have pictures on a memory stick which can then be accessed by a PSP or by any Sony flatscreen TV (they have MemoryStick slots) or any digital camera. That would be the most universal way to carry and present pictures.

armchairgeek: Already found in 1.5 in the Advanced section, "Warn about unformatted memory sticks".

stingrza: "Quit" button in the Advanced section ;-)

I second the idea of the ability to choose between full-blown app and menu-bar. Check out gCount for a good example of this.

I'd love to see PSPware retain the aspect ratio of my movies when I import them. They are now all stretched to fill the screen. (Imported photos don't have this problem.)

One of the best features I enjoyed about the last version, you guys took out. I liked being able to view my saves by date and even go back and restore saves from an older date, as opposed to the current system.

Venom, you can still do this! Just that the saves are now only made when your game save actually changes. Then, just double click a game save (or hit the restore button) and you can see all the backups (each unique -- that way no unnecessary backups are made -- saving space and time).

Small quibble: but what about a running total for the movies selected in the menu list and some indication of the space remaining.

I am not sure if the PSP supports this, but would it be possible to have some sort of grouping/folder structure (one level I think would suffice)? This would be handy for a TV series (season). For example, I could have a folder called "The Office Series 2" and then have each episode inside.

If we could rename the entries in the list that would be handy too.

Really would like it to resize the 'photos.

I woulkd like to see:

Photos convert automatically to 2 * PSP-Resolution at the sync.

PDF conversion to Jpeg while Syncing

Soundfiles other than MP3 (e.g. AAC) converts to MP3 on PSP while syncing.

Option to select a Channel (language) from a .vob File before converting.

A reminder for germans that this program can be used because it's canadian <--
