Will the 80 gig PS3 support backward compatibility because on G4 i heard that it wont but it will use somethin else so i wanna know if that is true +

I dont know where you read that.. but it will. They are changing a chip inside and using a software emulator instead of the 'emotion' chipset. No change in functionality.edited: Jul 31 2007

yeah i also got worried about that announcement on G4, im planning on buying a 80gb for 499 
the difference is the 80gb models use software
the 60gb had the emotion chip.
in the 60gb using the chip u can play all the playstation games and ps2
using software some ps2 titles might not work, but they might make updates to fix those problems.
