I have a PSP and I dont play it that much because it is just too much for me... I am thinking about selling it and buying a DS... Should I???

I also heard that Spore (evolution game) is coming out on the DS, which makes me want it even more...
Is it true that Spore is coming out on the DS????

im in the same boat as you, ive been thinking of selling my psp to get a ds for a while now. i know for a fact that the psp has more power but for me the ds is a better system, it has a lot of games im interested in(rpg's), its more portable and durable and i know a hell of a lot more people with ds including my girlfriend. i love my psp, but i feel like im missing out on something everytime i play it...oh yeah, im 26 if that makes any difference?

I was in the same boat a while back but in the end I decided to keep the PSP and buy the DS. Honestly? I play the DS more than the PSP and probably should have just sold the PSP and saved myself some money.

I have both a psp and ds but i play my psp more. i guess it is because the ds is too childish (no affence) and the psp is more capable.

mmm, PSP or DS, thats like comparing a computer to a Calculator. The PSP is far more powerful usefull, it does so much Officially (and unofficially) it can almost make you popcorn......

We just bought a DS on sale for Cdn$99 (about US$90).
That's the price of about five cheap bargain-bin games for it.

I have both systems, and I was under the curious circumstance in that I'd bought a PSP first, then sold it for a DS Lite, then ended up getting a PSP again. I like both my systems, I really do, and I play them both. Right now my PSP is getting the most attention though, but when new games come out I like for DS I end up playing a lot of it.

People's interest in a console wanes depending upon which titles they are playing for a time being. But a PSP game will come out you'll want, and then your interest will return. It did for me.

I dont like the ds, I played it before. I also dont like the Mario bros stuff. Im more into tony hawk, harry potter, burnout type of games. More of the action adventure games. Besides, its a ps2 you can fit in your pocket, With the intenet browser.

If you want a sweet multimedia and network device that'll also play games, go for the PSP. If you just wanna have fun and play games, go for the DS. I own both, and honestly, all I use my PSP for anymore is Traxxpad and making beats on the go lol Gaming-wise, I'm DS all the way

To amend my previous post, I'm gonna have to go with the PSP. I recently traded in my old PrePSP for the new SlimPSP and I gotta say, the video output on this thing cinches the deal. I have a 71" Samsung 1080p set (No, not the new 120hz models, dang it, I was a few months early lol) and Family Guy looks as good as a DVD does (Using the component cables, not the composite of course). Games look and play fairly well, only thing I noticed was a teensy bit of lag in button presses. Of course, the first "game" I loaded up was Traxxpad and started messing with some beats. First things first, OH MY GAWD it sounds soooo much better thru a 7.1 channel setup than the PSP speakers or even good headphones, the sound quality was amazing. And if you're like me and use the PSP and Traxxpad for your studio, here's a tip, use the audio cables from the video out to go to your recording board as they give you a lot better sound quality with less noise than using regular ol' 1/8" stereo-to-RCA adapters. Plus then you can hook the video cable up to a TV and throw a monitor into your studio setup if you don't have one already; it gives you a great visual beat indicator in the Traxxpad R.T.I.S.T. window. Ok, now, back to the mainstream folks. The DS I think STILL has the more FUN games, but the COOLER games are indeed on the PSP and now it truly IS a PS2 you can fit in your pocket since you can bring along the cables and hook it up to your buddy's TV to play a game or watch some "educational" videos you have stored on your memory stick lol. Again, final verdict, if you just wanna have the most fun, go with a DS, but if you want the most b!tchin bit of tech around and to play some really killer games, PSP all the way!
