I have a PSP and I dont play it that much because it is just too much for me... I am thinking about selling it and buying a DS... Should I???

I also heard that Spore (evolution game) is coming out on the DS, which makes me want it even more...
Is it true that Spore is coming out on the DS????

It matters what you like to do while using the PSP, if you just use it for games and you don't like them much then you should sell it but if you use the other features music, video... than I'd just keep the PSP.

This is PSP411. I don't think you'll find a lot of DS preference around here. I battled with this decision for a while but eventually it seemed like a no-brainer in favor of the PSP for the following reasons: better/more versitile hardware, better graphics (DS graphics are terrible IMO), more interesting games/games I was interested in, and I tried the DS out in the store (not the one on the stand but a regular unit) and it just felt really wierd, you can't really hold the stylus with one hand while holding the system in the other and play. Personally I can't believe that the DS is allegedly beating the PSP in sales.

This is my spin: Both systems have good online play. Most of your decision should come down to the games.
Buy PSP if... you like the more mature/realistic games, value graphics, want to use your handheld for media/internet as well.
Buy DS if... you like the nintendo franchise games (more cute/ 'kiddish' such as mario etc...), like mini/puzzle games, don't mind bad graphics, and have no intention of playing movies etc... , I know that DS has a browser that you can buy, but IMHO, the graphics are so bad that it would be pretty useless for anything but text and stuff.

But I digress, I believe myself to be biased and totally enamored with the PSP (as I think many on this forum would be). Take my advice with a grain of salt.

I'd have to agree with TRY. You're just not gonna get good advice from this site. We're all either full blown psp fan=boys or beginning ones. Either way, we'll pretty much all tell you to keep the PsP <and count yourself lucky> The psp will be gaining ALOT of features this year! Also, as you grow older..the psp has more 'mature' features. Just food for thought.

cade has the right thnking...BTW what exactly is "too much for you"? I mean are you talking about the complexety of the games? controls? ease of use? what?its all down to your personal preference but the ds is just a kids toy compared to the psp. the ds is a glorified game boy but the psp is an entertainment device...but its only my opinion

if you really know everything the psp is capable of, you should keep the psp. theres so much variety with the psp not just games.

get a DS if you're a girl and you plan on chating with a lot of 5-8 year olds.

I don't think Spore is coming to DS, in fact I'm not sure the full version is coming to PSP, but if the DS does get it, it's sure to be a watered-down kids port of it with horrible graphics. Also, every species will probably end up looking like Mario, just like every other DS game. Mario Bball, Mario soccer, Mario Metal Gear, Mario GTA.
