okay, my analog stick is messed up for good. my buddy was playing it and the analog stick fell out ( ihave the larger custom ones) and he said it was fine and put it away. im not sayiong he broke it, but the next time i played it, my character on syphon filter kept walking forward. i checked out the analog and it was jammed up, i tried to move it back and i did. it appeared centered and had fluid circular motion, but it was still wacked out on the game and internet browser. now it just moves the mouse and character very slow, it seems like it does not have full range. anyways, i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. i already bought a replacement analog unit on eBay. i took the faceplate off and it does not look too hard to replace. Has anyone else ever replaced their actaul analog unit? as long as that works im good. but i just have to wait for it to come in the mail. if anyone can help, or have suggestions, please state your mind.
The whole process takes about 15 minutes with cracking open the unit, removing the old analog, and then putting it all back together. Super easy. I replaced my nephew's analog after he broke it off
That happened to me, and its kinda embarassing when the menu in Tekken goes crazy in front of your friends.
I open the PSP up and removed the nub (it was really dusty) and cleaned it a bit.
Now it only gets weird if i push on the faceplate, right under the d-pad.
yea bro...i had a psp...traded it in...suffered horrible withdrawls(road trips, and study hall just werent the same)...so i went out with my birthday money and bought a new 1 link
alright, i am having this problem too, only i have completely taken apart my analog stick and the mechanism and tried to figure out how it works. what ive learned so far is that there are the four different metalic panels that control the left down up and right directions. each panel has a stiff like gel surounding really tinywires that touch the four panels on the circuit board. i have also learned that when you take a piece of metal and touch both the metal plate thing underneath the analog mechanism and the panel on the actual psp for that certain direction that that is when the faster motion of the movement of say a curser for the web browser is activated. now what i dont understand is how the metal clip that keeps the analog chip in place connects the electircal signal to be sent to activate the faster motion when that clip doesnt toucn any sort of circuitry on the chip. im begining to wounder if it is supposed to be transmitted through some sort of electrical conducting lube, because i cannot figure out why my courser only moves slowly, as if the circuit isnt connected. will someone please suggest to me what i am to do. i am by no means a technichian but i know how a circuit is completed and i dont see it in the analog mechanism at all. please help its makes it really hard to play games without that feature. cuz my characters only walk.
ok well i havent figured it out, how the circuitry works, but due to my extreme frustration i have repeatedly taken it apart and put it back together and the last time i put it back together everything worked just fine so i guess it was by some wierd bad luck that it wasnt working before. but its good now.
