thinking about getting one or the other, what is all your opinions +

Hey, I was wondering how much does Xbox Live cost a month? I don't wanna pay too much for online... oh and does the Wii charge money to play online... if they don't maybe I'll be better off getting a Wii instead because I want a cheap, but fun experience.

from what people say...ive gathered: 360=dull and boring, wii=really fun, ps3=good, but not awesome (you need a full hd tv to get the most out of it)

As of right now I wouldn't touch a PS3 with a 10 foot poll. All I have seen those things do is mess up. (I have a brand new one in a box if anyone is interested in it, I'm sure as hell not keeping this one for myself). They cann't seem to get the bugs out of those things. The 360 on the other hand is kink free, and has a much better library of games to choose from. Additionally, has anyone seen a side-by-side comparison of blueray and hd dvd? Hd dvd looks so much better.

sorry but that is not true. the 360 has the most kinks than any system to date, every best buy i went to, the 360 had the ring of death. and hd dvd doesnt look better than blu-ray at all. and yes i seen a side-by-side comparison. you had to only see the early blu-ray movies to think that. the early blu-ray used mpeg-2 coding. but the new blu-rays movies use mpeg-4 coding. you have to see "superman" and "black hawk down" to see the real power of blu ray. but the 360 does have a better library of games right now.

Rockstar, I absolutely, completely, undoubtably agree with you on this one bud. The PS3 was rushed so much that they really didn't get it right, no matter how much the fanboys scream that this is not true, it is. HD-DVD is better than Bluray, I have seen them side by side also and have seen it with my own two eyes. The library for 360 is a lot better than PS3 and even a year down the line this will still be the case. My advise to you regarding your PS3 is sell it on ebay to someone or even to a fanboy on here, believe me there are a ton of them. Good luck my friend.

360 dull and boring?!?!?!?! Dude, you have been playing the wrong games. How can you say that PS3 is good but the 360 dull and boring, i just don't get it. What games are there out on the PS3 that are better than anything out on the 360 at the moment???? My goodness gracious me, some people I swear.

Well I think Blueray IS the way to go... we're eventually going to want discs with higher capacity and blueray will eventually be the main format, I'm sure of it... not neccessarily anytime soon, but it will happen. Microsoft did the logical thing and went to HD-DVD first, but Sony took a risk with Blueray in hopes that we could skip HD-DVD and go straight to the superior format. I would buy a PS3 because of this, but one day we're just going to go to hard drives and leave even blueray behind, so if I were to buy one console, I'd get a 360 because either way, I know they're both gonna get outdated, but the 360 looks more fun to me right now

i said "from what people say...ive gathered" i myself do not own any of these consoles and have not played any of them, i have only seen a demonstration of the ps3 with a trial version of lair. it looked awesome, but i cannot compare it to anything else...so that is why i gave a summary of what some people said

Tell that to my 3rd brand new 360 that daily, cannot read discs and gives me errors to the tone of at least 6 a day. Mind you, I love my 360, but in no way in hell are 360's kink free.

Something is not quite right there if it's happening 6 times a day. Is it something with your discs? I have not had a single problem with my 360 and I got it the day it was released (in the usa). MS have given everyone extended warranty so why don't you chase it up.

I have an extended warranty through ebgames and now xbox. first one would give me "cannot read disc errors" with GOW, oblivion, graw, call of duty. Second one just froze a bit time to time and still gave cannot read disc errors in the middle of games, and this one does the same thing..
first of all, Gears of war, I have had 2 copies of, both gave the same error out of the box (within the first or second times playing it), now viva pinata has given a few errors. Not only can the xbox not read whether or not Viva is a game or not, half the time it cannot read it... Once the game start I have no errors what so ever. To add to the frustration, every game I have owned has at least barfed more than 2 times in their lives before beating them and trading them for other games. So no, it's not the discs. Pre-latest update I had "less" problems, but problems I still had.

i would definitely say PlayStation 3. I just played this game MLB 07 The Show for PlayStation 3 and it was so realistic. You can play with the exact lineup each MLB team is actually playing with that day, which is definitely cool.
