Help get rid of Glitchers, Coders, Cheaters and make the game fun again.

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and Zipper Interactive have developed the SOCOM Fire Team Bravo for thier users to have a fun on-line gaming experience.

Some users in the community believe in their statistics over honor. They will go to any means to win. This includes moving outside of normal pixel collision areas, special abilities in game, unlimited/additional explosive ammunition, invincibility, hidden game tags, one shot kills, the list goes on.

Browncoats believe in a fair fight. Using other means other than teamwork and controller skill to win is more than just unfair, it is also a violation of Sony's On-line End User Agreement.

Every user who logs into the Socom On-line Universe is required to agree to a legal and binding contract by Sony. 99.9% of all users agree to this without actually reading it. Among several things the contract discusses, a section focuses on actual game play.

If you find someone exploiting the game, cheating, using codes, glitching, being abusive, or spamming the mic and/or lobby, there is something you can do.

Contacts at SCEA have assured us that the details of ever game are logged and are reviewable. Within this data is some form of cheat detection. If the details of a round are provided, SCEA can review the data and determine if a user was doing something to exploit the game. SCEA has users who will enter games to investigate players who are suspect in violating the On-line User Agreement.

How to make a report to SCEA

Collect the following data and call SCEA at 1-800-345-7669. Once connected, press 0 to speak with a SCEA representative; tell the person that you would like to file an Online User Agreement Violation report. The reports will then be forwarded to the appropriate SCEA department for investigation and disciplinary action.

Items to include in the report:

The user's exact game tag including any symbols used.
The time and date of game.
The universe, server, and room name.
The round(s) the user was in violation.
A description of what the user was doing.
Note anything that may be of use in helping SCEA find the suspect.

All though a bit time consuming, this is the one thing we can do to fight back against the users who a ruining the game. SCEA created rules to protect all the users and try to give them a good on-line experience. Let's not let people take that away from us. Do your part and make the call.

This will help them figure it out. They will be taking action. I have been assured of this.

I've played SOCOM since it debuted on the PS2. Zipper does care about glitchers, and will ban accounts. however, it's fairly easy for someone to start a new account. The problem with patching/fixing is that it takes up space on your Memory card, and is usually only a matter of time before the glitches find new ways to exploit the code.

Make rooms with passwords. Leave rooms with cheaters and report them. Play fairly and have fun.

FTB2 is only going to allow 1 name to be registered per UMD... So if you glitch/code/cheat, people can report you and you will be banned.

Wrong. I deleted my save data, made a new one, and I was able to make a new name.
