In the game I simply focused on beating it as quickly as possible, rather than spending time upgrading properly and levelling up. By the end I was level 31. Stat focus was on Strength and Stamina. As for abilities I focused on getting to the two-weapon ability and then just maxing that out, or beating the game, whichever came first.
SPOILERS
After the final boss, there are still a few missions left over, all of them are done in this save. I may be missing something, but there is no indication of any other missions. There is no fanfare (unlike beating Xoquoxxotil), you are simply free to wander around and keep improving your character. In the preview build the character tops out at Level 50, I haven't tested to see if the final build of the game does the same, perhaps someone here can comment on that?
Curious if anyone has found anything else to do after all the missions?
