Intelligent License by Now Pro is an interesting logic game. Imagine your favourite (or most detested) RPG puzzles where you push blocks and hit switches, match that with Tron-like graphics and an equally wacky soundtrack and you have a rough approximation of Intelligent License. The game is in Japanese although the menus should be fairly easy to figure out, but the puzzles need no explanation, the focus is on getting to the exit of each stage as quickly as possible.
Each stage starts out simply enough by the camera focusing on your character, the exit and then back on your character. It's up to you to figure out how best to push or pick up blocks, hit switches and navigate your way towards the exit. To spur you on to achieve better scores, the top left portion of the screen contains a bonus counter, count and time counter, all of which count down as you try to get to the exit. There is also a map which should aide you in navigating your way to the goal. Once the time and count reach 0 you start accruing a penalty score. Each stage has 10 rooms. Once you beat all 10 rooms in a stage, you get your final score taking into account bonuses and negative scores.
The graphics are fairly simplistic and nothing too exciting. The focus is clearly on the puzzles and the inherent logic in trying to get to the exit as quickly as possible. The music accompaniment is equally as lackluster, featuring one retro-electronic sounding track per stage.
When setting up a new character, you can also choose what country you're from (or would like to represent) so that if you decide to upload your score, you are ranked amongst the IL players of the world. Beat the stages more quickly and intelligently to see your rank climb. This is a great incentive for players.
If you're a puzzle or logic nutter and the thought of optimizing stage completion times while navigating mazes, boxes, lazers, doors and other obstacles sounds exciting, then Intelligent License is for you. In comparison to everything else out there, this game is quite fresh, so if you're feeling bored with the rest and want more brain stimulation, try this on.

This game is an import in the US, you won't see this game in stores unless it's released here, but the PSP doesn't have region code protection for games so it'll work on an american psp

This is extremely similar to the PS-X/PS1 classic "IQ". In fact, this one is almost a clone of "IQ"...
