While this is definitely not intended to protect your PSP from drops, it will protect it from collecting dust (although I'm not sure why a PSP should be dusty) and getting scrathes. This doesn't do much, but what it does do, it does well.
If this weren't included in the value pack, I, and I'm sure lots of others, would not have this. Seeing as they retail for $19.95 I don't see why anyone will have these once PSPs are sold by themselves. Go get the Logitech case or somehting if you want real protection. I would definitely get a new case, definitely.
