| Summary: Goodbye Glare!
95
I have generally had a bad experience with screen protectors for the PSP. All of these experiences revolve around the inability to remove bubbles from under the plastic. The JAVOScreen was very easy to apply, with only minor bubbles near the edges around the buttons. Because your hands cover these when you play the PSP, they are hardly noticeable.
One of the other cool features is its resistance to finger prints! The standard PSP practically begs to be smudged, and it drives me crazy! With the JAVOscreen, a simple finger print won't leave a mark whatsoever, but if you really try hard to smear your finger, it'll leave a mark. The screen is also completely scratch resistant (I tried and failed to scratch it!), which is a nice plus.
The glossy sheen of the PSP has always been a bane of gamers ever since the console was released. There is just something odd about playing a game as you stare into your own reflection on the screen. By far the best feature of this product is that it almost completely removes that glare from your PSP! The material is not completely transparent, but instead has tiny little grains that diffuse the reflection on it's surface. Because of this, you will notice (barely) the tiny grains on the JAVOscreen when you are viewing your PSP. However, there really is not enough of a difference to warrant not using this product.
Overall, the JAVOscreen protects the screen and the area around the d-pad, analog-pad, and the right buttons from glare, smudges, and scratches. It doesn't protect the area directly below or above the screen. The kit comes with a new cleaning cloth, an application card, and of course, the screen itself. At $12 (+S&H) it is a well worth it.

is there a difference between the javoscreen anti-glare and the javoscreen 2.0? is the 2.0 still anti-glare?

I'm satisfied with my Brando screen protectors.. very clear, no distortion/blurring... very similar to the Javo's... btw... what ever happened to the Javo rep? He was here a few weeks ago... hey Javo rep can you give us more info on your protectors?

Yes. The regular 2.0 screen does not provide anti-glare protection. It is simply protection from scratches. I will be reviewing that screen as well in less than a week, along with some other Javo products. Stay tuned!

Hi! Thanks for your inquiry.
The difference is that the anti-glare is just that, it is anti reflective and gets rid of most reflections. This will allow you to play your PSP out in the sun or in any highly lit areas. The funny thing is the side affect of the anti-glare coating is that it is also very smudge resistant as well as even more scratch resistant.
The JAVOScreen 2.0 ultra-clear features a 99% clarity. This means it will provide scratch protection while keeping your PSP appearance exactly the same as if the protector wasn't on there at all! It also encircles the d-pad, analog stick, and buttons fully unlike it's anti-glare counterpart which does a semi-circle around those features.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
