I own several pairs of earbuds including Sennheiser MX500 and Sony MDR-EX71SL/WK. The PSP earphones are similar in sound reproduction quality to the Sennheiser MX500s. They don't fit my ears quite as well. The packaging is very simple, and there are no foam covers for the earbuds.
The included remote adds on a considerable length to the cord. I believe that it is ~1 meter in length. The remote's cord is comparable in length to the extension cord included with Sony's other earphones. I personally feel that the remote's construction is rather flimsy. I've kept mine wrapped up and stowed away because I don't find it too useful.
Use the Sony PSP earphones if you don't have another pair. Otherwise, don't bother buying these. I would strongly suggest the Sony MDR-EX71SL/WK over the PSP earphones.
