I've been a fan of Wipeout since version 1 and I've played iterations of it that totally sucked (e.g. Mac/PC version). Wipeout Pure restored my faith in the series with decent racing mixed with random weapons gameplay to spice things up. I love the designer republic graphics and electronica music so much, a very well packaged game in terms of asthetics. I wish I could pump the music up way louder on my PSP though. In terms of longevity, the Wipeout Pure recently offered downloadable gamepacks and wireless multiplayer mode. Highly recommended!
