Now, we’ve all played Twisted Metal that classic demolition derby game that included deluded, psychotic character, machine guns, and over-the-top weapons galore. Have you ever wanted your psychotic-car-gun-mayhem on the go? Well here’s your wish-come true. That’s right, thanks to the folks at Incognito Entertainment, who also brought us the godly God of War earlier this Summer and now they’ve gone and dug up Sweet Tooth’s grave.

Story - Haven’t we heard this before?

Yes, you have. Calypso has decided to hold yet another Twisted Metal competition and he’s out to grant the winner their greatest wish, which of coarse always back fires on them in either a hilarious or utterly ironic way. Me? I’ve always loved Sweet Tooth and his merry batch of travelers but they’re getting old and I’m tired of them...I was absolutely disappointed in this. But, story doesn’t really matter here does it? I will give the game some slack here, since the characters are interesting, if not stereotyped by now.

Graphics - DAAAAMN

That’s right. As soon as I flipped that switch I was utterly shocked, even by the title screen. All of the vehicles of mass-destruction are well rendered and had amazing details for any portable port of any game. The levels? The color is a bit weak, except in the Tokyo and Monaco levels which are my personal favorite. Now, the special effects are rather weak. The flames on Sweet Tooth flickered in and out, explosion glitched out as you’d drive by them and overall I’d say that the two balance out to a mediocre combination.

Sound - Dude! Was that a Nuke?

Now, I am an audio buff, especially when it comes to my home systems and even I have lower expectations for a portable device but, damn did I underestimate this title. The sound design was dynamic each car having it’s own unique sliding effect and the special weapon sound effect just sent shivers down my spine, knowing your about to get nailed by Twister’s tornado or Warthog’s patriot misses homing it to blast you to smoldering aluminum while praying to god it doesn't hit.

Game play - End all, Be all

And now, for the Holy Grail. Does this play almost exactly like every other Twisted Metal title? Yes. Is that bad? Hell no. I’ve always loved Twisted Metal and it’s run n’ gun fast-action five minute Game play are a perfect match for any portable console, especially the PSP. If Sony didn’t own Incognito you would have thought it would be on every portable on launch. This is where TMHO thrives and knives, I love the gameplay!

Yeah, I like the game too, and I already beat it with 3 characters, now I am trying to get all the mini games.
