| Summary: The next step in handheld gaming.
90
Gameboy move over, the next generation of handhelds has arrived. Considering the futuristic, sleek look and feel of the psp, Nintendo has got their work cut our for them. It looks like Sony has got all the cards to do the same for the handheld market as they did for the console market.
The system is still in need of a a true triple A title, but the psp by itself shines enough to outdo any handheld at the moment. Everything about the system is amazing. The big screen, the clear sound, the slick intro and menu all scream next generation handheld gaming.
While you could be relatively save dropping a gameboy, the psp does look more fragile. But then again, it's aimed at a slightly older target audience.
The handheld future is indeed bright. The ball is in Nintendo's court. Since the DS is the "third pillar", the race for the next true gameboy is on.
Some things could be better. First of all the battery life is relatively short. Hopefully Sony or third parties will come up with larger capacity batteries.
Dual analogue sticks would have been a welcome addition. It would also have been nice if the L and R buttons were analogue in order to support better control in racing games.

good quick overview for people without a psp..
+
is there any improvements on the us v 101 psp? more then reg1?
+
I dont know about improvements. But the screen will probably be from samsung instead of sharp. And the samsung screen is said to be slightly inferior. Also some parts of the psp will be made from cheaper materials. This is usually the case in the evolution of a newly released console.
There maybe an improved battery in the works for the NA version. But this, like the rest of the rumours are still up in the air.

Do you think they will create a mounting device for your car so you can lock your PSP in? Or even a tuner to connect your PSP to your car Radio. If possible that will opens more doors for the PSP.

Yeah, considering there is a device that lets you tune your car engine on the GBA on the market. A lot of add ons will be made in the course of the life of the psp. The one you mentioned will happen if there turns out to be a market for it.
