This is great if you travel and want to bring videos and music with you without spending a fortune on memory sticks. Connect the PSP to the Steno and copy a video to the PSP's memory stick. After watching, delete the video and copy a new one. Almost 40 GB's of video storage for the price of a 1 GB memory stick. Transfers are slow, but not painful. The interface is very tedious, but it gets the job done. This is a very useful and economical product.
I mean no offense, but do you actually have one of these or are you just giving your 2 cents on it? It would have been nice if you had included more usage info in your post, regarding how user friendly the interface on the enclosure is and things of that nature.
None taken. I bought it a couple weeks ago. I'm new here and started a thread link instead of posting a review. I'm learning...
Thanks alpha. I can't tell you how many hd card readers/writers I went through and then when I saw this, I had to buy it too. I wonder how many of their customers are PSPers.
from what ur saying u still have to have a big card.. .making the point of this what exactly? I think this would be many times more usefull if the psp could stream video/audio off it
With 1 memory stick, you can store 1 high quality video. I just went on a long trip and watched a few movies and a bunch of TV shows that I recorded. Without the Steno ($149), I would have had to buy at least 6 more memory sticks ($750). The point is this is much cheaper! This is better that streaming, because it would be awkward to have the hard drive connected to the PSP while you're using it.
