Hands down, this is a blast. From the moment the graphics jump off the screen with a burst of color, you are hooked. This is my first foray into the world of HSG, but I am very impressed with this title. I have about 7 games for my PSP right now, and can't figure out why the other's take 4 to 5 times as long to load as this does. Literally, holes load in like 5 seconds. It's great for getting in 18 holes in minutes.
The graphics are very colorful and fun to watch. I find myself watching my opponent's shots just for fun because the scenery and graphics are so good looking. The sounds are fun, including the background sounds. You'll hear cows, yodelling, a bit of everything, making the course locations come to life.
Basically, the meat of the game is in challenge mode, where you can rank up your characters and unlock tons of customizeable options from bling-bling to hair-dos. I haven't played multiplayer yet, but it seems like a blast from the detailed instructions. I'm sure from just reading about it, that too could eat a ton of your time away.
Overall, a much more fun and fast game than Tiger Woods. A lot of depth for golf nuts, and a lot of fun for the amateurs.

i think they should have made it online compatible. then i would have already bought it. i decided to get a sandisk 512mb card instead for only $15 more at comp-u-plus.com

This game is just like Hot Shots Golf Fore for the PS2, but even better! Nice music, sceneries, extremely fast loading, new customization, the BEST! Love this game!

3rd game purchase for me and i've yet to buy a game that disappoints
although i'm running out of titles that i think i'll like so they better get some more on the way.

I have wipeout---hot shots and fifa-----they are all top notch !

1st was lumines and 2nd was wipeout
not too much into realistic games lately so most of the sports and racing games are out.
but if anyone thinking about hot shots golf i'd definitely recommend, spent the majority of the weekend playing it.

it sucks hot shots golf is wifi multiplayer only, it doesn't work with swapping the disc either

yes, my brother has it and I've played it, there's no way to play multiplayer without 2 psp's and 2 copies of the game, why, Have you even played the game??? It soiunds like you play hot shots 2 players with one PSP all the timeedited: May 09 2005

Listen donkey----Why would you even attempt to play a multiplayer game with ....only 1 copy of the game????...
The mulitplayer for any game is made to play against another player w/ a psp and their own copy of the game---unless the game allows for "game sharing" ....but this would only be allowed if it's a mini-game or some other game that doesn't have intense graphics that need to load from the UMD all of the time....Your complaints about Hot Shots go unwarranted if you are trying to play multiplayer w/o having 2 copies of the game---the way it was intended to be played !....

stfu jackass, I'm only complaining about the fact that there's no 2-player mode on one PSP, let me spell it out for you. If i have 1 psp, and 1 copy of hotshots golf, and i want to play a 2 player game with my friend, ther's no 2-player mode besides wireless multiplayer, which is retarded. Any golf game should have a 2 player mode so you can pass the psp back and forth, it's not like golf is simultaneous gameplay or anything. It would be nice if disc swapping worked so at least you wouldn't need multiple copies of the game considering it doesn't have the multiplayer functionality that it should that every other golf game has had to date.edited: May 09 2005
