Summary: Good, but everyone will want their own anyway

In an age where we feel compelled to leave nothing stock on anything we buy, why do companies even try? I know that may sound a bit harsh, but it's true. We have come to the point that everything in our lives has to be "custom" or "modded" in some shape or form. Don't believe me? What's that window on your PC for? Why does it need neons? Is it some new requirement to run Windows XP? For that matter, why do our cars need neons? Is it because we all thought we'd have hover crafts by now and are making up for it?

Let me try to get back on topic here, and explain my point. The remote and earbuds that came with the PSP are great, but I can guarantee most will get new ones. I would have liked to see the PSP without this accessory and possibly the remote separate. I personally scrapped my stock headset in favor of the Sony Stereo Earphones MDR-EX81LP/W.

With the way people enjoy making things "their own", it would be nice to see more stripped down PSP packages that we, the consumers, can customize our selves and not have so much useless "stock" accessories rotting away in our closets.

Pros
• The cord design is great and helps prevent tangles.
• The iPod style remote is just great. I personally still use it even with my new earbuds.

Cons
• Sound quality is pretty poor, but decent for “stock”
• The earbuds don’t seem to fit to well, at least in my ears anyway
