This is my second Pelican PSP purchase. The first was the flip cover with the notoriously short screws - went right into the trash. Wasn't even worth the time to take it back. This was a bit of a gamble, albeit another cheap one. I have to say though, that Pelican has the right idea - a very stiff plastic is MUCH easier to apply with no bubbles. I have installed these protectors on APple Newtons, PDAs, and iPods. Their reputation as being difficult to apply is well-deserved. However, the Pelican protectors are a breeze to apply - this is due to the stiffness of the plastic and the "applicator" are very, very good. I got the first one installed and it was 100% perfect.
Now, of course, there is the typical Pelican downside. Why they did this, I don't know, but the surface is sort of "anti-glare" and does make the beautiful PSP screen less so. I think they might have been thinking this was helpful, if I were to cut them some slack here.
In conclusion, they are very easy to apply, are of good quality, and in the end, they WILL protect your PSP for certain. If you are easily bothered by the not-so-clear nature of them, you might be really unhappy.
Yeah... need a screen protector that's COMPLETELY see-thru. The PSP screen is wonderful all on its own.
I have the Pelican right now, as its worth the sacrifice to keep the screen free from scratches. But I'm still hoping something that's totally clear comes down the pike sooner than later.
