Tiger for the PSP was one of the reasons I originally started seriously looking into the PSP. I was put off at first with the very unforgiving swing controls, but after about 2 rounds I was hitting straight. The swing control in the PSP version actually make it much more challenging and rewarding than the xbox version I am used to. One minor nitpick I have with the control is I that I wish the course "zoom" button was assigned to the triangle button as it would feel much better to me and is much more intuitive (imo), instead the pocket caddy is assigned to that button and I've brought it up countless times unintentionally while setting up a shot. The lack of customizable controls is only a minor problem though when held up against everything else that EA got right with this game.
The graphics are good - not amazing, but they are very good when you consider this is one of the very first gen PSP games. I'm very pleased with everything they left in the game from the console versions, very nice. This thing kills major time in between classes, or waiting for just about anything.
Load times are curiously long, and this is where the score gets hit. Hopefully the next Tiger on PSP fixes this a little, but then again this is a golf game and if you are into real golf you're used to walking from hole to hole
i personaly like the challenge in htting a good shot in this version compared to the xbox versions. on xbox it was just too easy, especially when i got to a -32 handicap in tw05 online.
