Got it off Ebay for GBP12.50, fairly good deal if you ask me. Yes, I am a fan of these comic super-hero movies, and I am very pleased to say Hellboy is a superbly made film.
But ok, one can read a review of the film from elsewhere. How does the movie play on the PSP? One word for it: SUPERB.
The menus are rather limited like the Spiderman2 UMD movie, but the picture quality and playback has been excellent. I highly recommend this one, I dont have the DVD movie to compare it with but if you are a fan of comic super-heros and enjoyed the film -get it! Plus this is one of the better UMD movies available in the market!
Why only 85/100? they could do more like extras such as movie index, trailers or mini documentaries.

Keep in mind that in order to bring you such a high quality film on a 1.8 GB disk, they have to elimate some of the extras. Good review. =)

I have thought that removing the extras isn't such a bad thing. Yes a few DVDs do have extras I enjoy, but overall I watch the movie and thats it. The PSP gives me a good picture to just watcht he movie with.

My 2ยข us a lot of those extras blow. I just bought another HellBoy DVD with 3 DVDs and it has a lot of the stuff my wife and her friends did on the movie that was cutout and not on the 2 DVD set.
I'm all for the movie and nothing else on the PSP - nicely done, and a great movie - even if I'm biased!!!

Ok i was thinking aboot buying this ar Wal*mart (15$- not bad) and i was wondering if it had scene selection... that spiderman 2 dvd is great but all the cool action sequences are at the end so i have skip and wait for it to load.............. skip and wait............. skip and wait............ skip an... I WANT A SCENE SELECTION!

no scene selections on any UMD that i know of. it's really annoying that they didn't include it.

slb...are you saying your wife was in Hellboy ? Or was part of production or something ? Thats cool man! And yeah i'll probably pick this up if I could find it sub $15. I heard walmart had them for $14

giOrgiO: she's a special FX / visual FX gal...not in the movie, but in some of the scenes of 'behind the scenes" stuff...

so did she do the cg aspects of it? or actual physical special effects like makeup and such?

She does explosions, sets, painting, molds, buildings, pretty much every non-computer (CGI) aspect.
She works her butt off - literally.

ANy ideas on the film aspect ratio size on the PSP screen?
