Overall
It looks like it was designed to be an iPod accessory but got repurposed for the PSP. First, its white. Second, the remote looks like the navigational pad on the iPod. The material quality is good however and doesn't appear cheap.
Headphones
The inserts are bigger than I'm accustomed to but not uncomfortable. People with smaller ears may have problems with it. As other people have mentioned, it definitely lacks bass. By itself, the cord isn't long enough to use without the remote. It's decent until you get a replacement.
Remote
In the world of product development, there's always a struggle between design and usability. In this case, design won. The controls on the unit aren't the easiest or most intuitive to use. I would have much preferred a standard layout which would have made more room for other buttons like a STOP, MUTE, and on/off buttons. The cord is exremely long, which wouldn't be bad if you could put the PSP in your backpack and control everything from the remote. Simply put, you can't do everything you want from the remote so I don't get the reason for having the cord that long. I took some zip ties and shortened the cord. I also wish the plug was L-shaped or more flexible. It sticks straight out of the PSP making it awkward when its in your pocket. Other that that, it does what it does and nothing more. It's definitely not a reason to get the value pack. I could live without the remote.
