| Summary: My PSP Is In Love
100
I bought the Logitech Playgear Pocket today for just over 20 dollars at my local game store. I had been waiting for this specific case to come out as it looked to be the best and c'mon, you just cant go wrong with Logitech. I opened it and my first thought was that it was slightly larger than I had thought it would be. No worries though as the case is very well sized and immediately seems very high quality.
The polycarbonate armor (plastic armor) is clear, showing the inner black rubber padding and is very strong and feels durable, in fact the label claims it to be nearly indestructible. The rubber padding inside is hard to keep the PSP snug in the case while it gives enough to offer sufficient shock absorbtion. It is sleek, failry light weight, and it is very easy on the eyes (I think its beautiful).
Anyways, I placed the PSP inside the case and was kind of amazed that there wasnt anything holding it in minus some minor traction from the rubber padding. It suprised me but really didnt matter much, when it came to playing it and the overall feel. It goes in really well and if you cant figure out how to place it in, you probably shouldnt own a PSP. So its in the case looking all snug and warm and I just had to turn it on and see how it felt. It's very well moulded to the PSPs curves and feels very comfortable to hold in your hand (even for extended play). In fact, a high point is that it seems to make it easier to use the analog nub without straining your hand. The triggers are easily accessible as is all the other buttons including all the ports (headphones, power, USB only when open). Being that there are all the holes, this wont keep your PSP safe from dust or water although when closed, though it could probably save your PSP from a glass of water poured directly over it due to the angles and curves of the armors structure.
As the ads say, the flip cover also acts as a sun visor and a stand for watching movies. I played in the car and it did act as a minor sun visor but basically as many people may have noticed, if there is a lot of sunlight anywhere, its gonna be a little hard to see no matter what brightness you have it on. When I took it home I used the flip cover to stand it up and it worked perfectly. Its sturdy and you feel safe leaving it standing there for whatever purposes.
Nothing can be absolutely perfect and there is a minor thing that people may find wrong with the case. The latch that closes it combined with the hinge makes it a little difficult to open and close at times. it took me a few times but I basically figured out how to open and close it without much hassle. It really doesnt hurt the great qualities that this case provides.
Protection: 8.5/10
Usability: 9.5/10
Looks: 10/10
Overall: 10/10 I recommend this item to any PSP owner.
Keep in mind for this review, I already had a pelican screen shield on. I recommend a screen gaurd of some type as this case only protects the screen when closed. pelicans screen shield is a good one. Anyways, like I said, my psp is in love and its in love with my new Logitech Playgear Pocket.
