| Summary: The Sleakest Slim PSP Case Yet!
98
What can I say about this case-this is by far the most innovative case for the Slim PSP yet! The Joytron Skin Case is comprised of 4 different pieces that all interlock together or firmly attach to the PSP itself via small hooks: face plate, battery cover, "memory side" rear cover, and the UMD cover. The faceplate is immaculate in design but does not cover the screen. So as a side note, I strongly advise purchasing a good screen protector in addition to this case. Personally, I was kind of glad that the Joytron Skin Case was designed this way. Some of those cases that shield the screen seem to attract scratches and dirt that inhibit the overall picture quality.
Nevertheless, it took me less than 2 minutes to attach the entire skin case to my brand new red PSP. I have yet to experience a piece falling off while vigorously gaming ("Me and My Katamari" ring a bell?) or carrying it in my pocket while listening to music.
As far as aesthetics go, this case makes my red PSP look so sleak! The case is not bulky or flimsy at all. You can barely tell there is a case on my PSP.
The navigation of the buttons and access to all ports has never been easier-Is there actually a case on my PSP? I remember using one of those name brand chunky cases for the "PSP Phat" and having to take it out to hook it up to a USB cable or interchange a UMD. Not with this case-Everything is easily accessible without removing a single part of the case. Also, the case allows the "Power" and "WLAN" switches to be slightly recessed. So no more accidentally shutting down your Slim PSP while playing which was a common problem for me before.
As mentioned by other reviewers, this case may not be the best protection from a hard impact. However, it certainly does its job well protecting it from scratches, fingerprints, dust, dirt, and possibly even a small impact such as dropping it on a table or hard floor while sitting. My red PSP was a fingerprint and scratch magnet before I got this and now it looks cleaner than ever.
In conclusion, I strongly advise any owners of the PSP Slim to get this case. This case should be a priority along with a screen protector on any PSP accessory list. I mean why resort to getting one of those ugly chunky cases that can barely fit in your pocket? This is by far the best medium for protection while still upholding the true form and function of the Slim PSP design.
