I recieved my unit a day or two after placing the order. So I'm pleased with that part of ordering from a direct source. It arrived in stylish packaging and (this is rather unsual!) a hand written note! Consider me suprised, this part wasn't a joke.
On to the case:
Positives
-----------
The Joytron 'case' (or really, shell as I will refer to it from here on) is a breeze to install. Four pieces attach to the face, rear batter + rear memory stick doors and one final piece clips on to the UMD drive flap.
You really don't need the instructions because this part of the installation is intuitive.
Appearance wise it adds virtually no added bulk to the console. Were it not for the shiny plastic you'd be hard pressed to tell it was there.
Negatives
-----------
The plastic on the door seems to not fit quite as snugly as the rest of the case but that could be a function of improper installation. I might fiddle with it again. It doesn't look like it can withstand too sever an impact but it offers excellent, always on, protection. The screen IS NOT protected and warrants a screen protector.
Overall I'm pleased with the case, its price and the note pushes it towards a decent purchase.
