Summary: It may not be equal with the previous FIFA, however it is still a great game on its own, and an excellent one for $30.

It's truly an excellent game you get in FIFA 07. It has everything you'd expect from a FIFA game, but there are some disappointing sides.

First let's talk about the teams and what not. This game contains about 500 squads and 27 leagues. This is really expected from FIFA and they have actually managed to have more leagues then they had in FIFA 06. There are about 12,000 players, which is about the same amount as the previous game. So as far as these things go FIFA 07 offers you a better game. You can also connect online for automatic squad transfers and updates.

The gameplay has made a HUGE leap over FIFA 06 in my opinion. The physics are greater, so the ball will move and what not more realistically. There are way more things you can do off a cross, rather than just a header and an occasional kick. Your squad will be soaring through the are doing bicycle kicks and crazy headers and side kicks and anything. The best part is that they keep changing what they do based on where they are and where the balls is. The difficulty level is perfect and you'll always be able to find the perfect challenge for yourself. However, they've made it easier to score when your heading toward the net, so you won't be reduced to cross that win you the match. In fact scoring off crosses has become harder. The rest of the normal matches is the same. Also, they have once again introduced the manager mode and it works much the same as it did in 06. However they have added some nifty details and various currency that make the game more exciting. There is also a new visual sim mode.

This game would be nothing without its great graphics though. Boy does this game have great graphics. You can tell that EA has put alot of effort into making the players look better. Although they may look a bit unlike themselves at times. However this shouldn't bother you. The stands and background and pitch have been re-created amazingly. Honestly the graphics could be Ps2 worthy. Sound is once again amazing, and actually this year it's been improved. You can hear rain drops at a rainy match, you can hear your mates sliding through the grass. Also all the old kick and passing sounds have returned. Commentary is once again excellently done by Clyde and Andy. They say almost all the same things as last year, plus many new things.

The online provides some great fun with almost every squad featured in the single player game. You can play with one other person obviously, and although it lags alot you'll keep wanting to connect online for more. So really FIFA 07 for the PSP is a great game, and although you don't get to create your own squads and own men on the PSP version, your still getting your money's worth for every penny.

I feel that the manager mode has improved to be top class. It's now possible to make money, and thats what keeps you into it. This year EA has put in actually currency and everything about manger mode looks more attractive.

Ya.. nice review! It makes me consider buying a game I never even considered before. I did play the demo & it seems like it could be alot of fun. Not being a huge soccer fan, I'm not very educated about how 'true to life' it is... Did you find it obeys the rules of how real soccer plays?

It is quite a good game but if you really want to get into fifa then i reccomend you try a fifa game on xbox ps2 or something else, just because those platforms have an advantage of being able to take that next strong step to being realistic. but if you only have a psp then get this game or wait till fifa 2008!

If your talking about platforms, then remember to get it on the bigger platforms, cuz they present it better. If you mean a decision between soccer series' I suggest that EA's FIFA games are the best choice, mainly because they have the FIFA license and EA likes to add new surprises every year!
