Given that this game is the portable version of a series that I adore. I was disappointed.The idea of a portable Ratchet and Clank is alomst perfect for a portable gamer. The execution was not.

Graphics: Excellent

A great translation to the PSP. Better than Daxter and the Giant Clank space levels throw thousands of polygons at you with no slowdown at all.The only gripe about graphics is that the armor you collect is not shown on Ratchet in the game's cut scenes.This game stays true to R&C when it comes

Sound: Excellent

All the voice acting from previous games is here plus decent explosions and gun sounds straight from other R&C games.

Story: Below Average

Coming from R&C games to this will be a big step down. The story is quick and does not interest me one bit.

Controls: Bad

The game tries to emulate R&C controls which is wrong. I never felt fully in control. I tried multiple variations, no help.Why couldn't a Zelda like lock on be used?

Gameplay: Above Average

With bad control and a below average story I was not pleased. The gameplay saved this from being a horrible game. It has fun moments and I wish these would go on longer and it had bad moments I wish would end. Giant Clank mode is a blast and too short. The Clank mini-games are a blast and I wanted more.Using Clank to control other robots was a blast and too short.Why couldn't this game be just a Clank game?The guns are fun but nothing that was unexpected.The hoverboard races were horrible. The boss battles were fun I enjoyed all of them. The puzzles were interesting and I wish there were more. I hated the Grindlock, they were too easy and I longed for lock puzzles from other R&C games.Multiplayer is fun but the controls hold it back.I do like all the different modes they are all fun.Why didn't we have multiplayer Clank challenge games I will never know?

For me the Clank portions of this game are the best sections.They are polished yet short. The rest of the game does not have that much polish. I hope the next portable R&C is just a Clank game.

Wow.. you hated this more than anyone I've read yet. I've read things that were dissapointing..but nobody gave it even CLOSE to this low a score. I've been wanting to get this game, why don't you sell me your copy? Maybe you brought expectations to this game that others didnt? Thanks for the review. I could see you thought about it and am sorry you were so disappointed.
