| Summary: Anime-Style fighter is definitely not street fighter
85
If anyone has every played the game Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4, for the gamecube, Bleach 3 is very similar. The reason being that they are developed by the same company Eighting. Unfortunently, Bleach 3 doesnt quite meet up with the Naruto 4 game in terms of gameplay and funness, but perhaps some good points in it.
Graphics:
Not bad, the game is in the Anime style and has the anime cutscenes and movies that youc an access which adds to the coolness. Therse not much of a problem with the camera changing since its a 1v1 fighter.
Controls:
Well lets see.... Square has the character power up with their reiatsu in a supersaiyan kind of way Which can counter the opponant and add to your own bar. X attacks normally, circle executes a special move such as Rukia's power shots or Ichigo's sword slashes. Next, Triangle has the character Jump, are calls on a partner to help you with their skills. L doesnt seem to have any use at all. Now, to execute the specials moves, unlike the traditional kind of street fighter or Kof game, to fight, theres technically 2 buttons. The special move button and the attack button, kind of like in an RPG. You press either button in conjunction with one of the directions to execute different moves. So its not a one button kick one button punch, its more of a plug in combinations for combo. Not that its a bad thing, its just different. Special attacks are executed by pressing Square with another button X circle or Triangle. To execute it.
Modes:
Therse the Soul Road which moves you from place to place to battle people and raise "trust rates among your partner, which they will ask a question from time to time. Which you can gain partner characters. The Mission mode which has story, the survival and time attack modes as well as the store which you can buy cards or watch movies.
Gameplay: For those of you who are pretty into Anime, this game is awesome, with special attacks that mimic the anime, its long and basically watching an episode. For those who are intollerant of watching the same techniques over and over again, best stay away because youll probably see it alot. The game is ok paced, not Terribly fast or confusing, but its easy to get people into combos and knocking them away.
All in all, if you like anime, especially bleach, youll probably like thsi game, if your looking for a hardcore fighter game like the classic 2d types, you might like it, but will probably bore with the seemingly repetitive fight scenes.
