I'm the type that has spare pieces of LCD monitor OEM contrast enhancement films sitting around - the kind that you see on the glossy laptop LCD screens sold today.

Well, that's what I used when I got my Japanese PSP years ago, and it lasted well until the day it had too many scratches on it.

So off it came and on came the Hori, which I saw at a local store, and thought for the $5.99, why not?

The application was even easier than the laptop contrast enhancement film I had applied earlier -- nice tabs on the protective temporary films on both sides of the Hori made it easy to remove them. The 'sticky' Hori wasn't at all like the laptop film - you can peel it off and reposition if needed (still, best to give it one go). And the included small cleaning cloth did a great job at removing almost all of the dust off the screen before applying the Hori (you can almost never get rid of all dust unless you've got a clean room environment when applying these films).

Smartly, they say that you can use scotch tape to remove the one or two dust particles that get under the Hori - just peel the hori back, then use the tape to remove the dust. That works, but again, if you can get the Hori on in one try, that's the way to go.

Once applied, it was easy to unbubble the Hori, and voila! silky smooth screen protector that doesn't block or hinder the viewing angle or brightness of the LCD screen, doesn't cause moire effects, and simply works great! It doesn't peel off or fall off after use either.

They've got some sort of coating on the Hori, so it doesn't just look like a plastic sheet on the PSP, but rather, something that could be OEM.

Highly recommended, cheap, works and installs great, and unbubbles easily!
