Burnout Legends is a combination of all the Burnout games before it (thus the Legends title). So you can expect to see modes and cars from previous games. I just got into Burnout with number 3 but even then I only played someone else's copy. This is my first game in the seris and I love it.
Gameplay
Basic gameplay works like this. You race against other cars in different events such as a typical race, or pursing one car as a cop, or elimation style races. There are a few more event types than that but they all share one thing in common, the abilty to crash into your opponents for some dazzling car crunching action. There is also the "Crash" mode where the whole aim of the event is to just create the biggest crash possible using the enviroment and powerup items (you win based on the amount of money you earn from each destroyed vehicle). However, all of this can get a little boring after awhile but if you play it in short runs it's a lot more fun.
Graphics
Graphics aren't on par with Ridge Racer or Wipeout Pure but are solid none the less (and runs at 30 fps). You'll soon understand how hard it must have been for them to get the run a game like Burnout this well on the PSP in the first place. There are particle effects and slow mo going on all around but the engine keeps on chugging along. So if you are used to it seeing fantastic graphics on the consoles, just imagine that, scaled down. Loading times are a bit long compared to others but are managable enough not to distract you completely.
Sound
The music is a pop-rock, punk-rock, metal affair. You'll either like it or you won't. The sound effects are awesome. You'll hear roaring engines and crunching metal the way it was meant to be heard. Top notch.
Replayability
Game is pretty beefy. I'm only 48% complete with it and there are 175 events, secrect takedowns for each level to get, all of the gold medals, secrect cars, etc. This game will last you for a long while even if you play it for hours at a time.
Summary
I managed to get this game for super cheap the other day and I don't regret it one bit. It's one of the must own racing titles for the PSP. I may go as far as reccommending it over Wipeout Pure (I <3 Wipeout like crazy). Even if you aren't a huge fan of racing games you'll probably dig this one as it has a way of appealing to everyone who's ever driven a car.
