I loved this item until it broke. Instructions warn not to overtighten the screws, so don't complain if you didn't read the manual. Nice, low profile and snug fit. Good for blocking glare. Convienent for dropping in a backpack or pocket for protection. But DON'T BELEIVE Pelican's product support claims. Once it broke at the hinge, they never responded after numerous attempts to contact them. Yeah, only $10 bucks... but if they don't stand behind their own claims of quality, it's not worth a dime.
I didn't abuse it, just appears it's not built to last. Therefore I will NEVER purchase another Pelican product in the future. Have be unable to find the "new" version in any stores even while traveling from the West Coast to the Southeastern US, but again I will not waste anymore money adding to the profits of a company that offers NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Screw 'em!!!
