Tekken: Dark Ressurection is by the far the best fighting game to be released on the PSP yet. It has no competition. Dark Ressurection delivers the full package you would expect from a Tekken game; with all 30 playable characters and 2 new ones, 19 stunning stages and several mini games to keep you going back for more.

Gameplay - 90
The way this game plays as a fighting game on the PSP can make you scepticle but dont underestimate. The controls are used to the PSPs full capabilities with dozens of combos using the control stick and d-pad. Easy controls that are quick to learn and adapt.

Graphics - 95
The visuals of this game are absolutly stunning. Clean cut characters and stages. Sure there can be some chops every now and then but they are rare. The cut scenes of DR are mind blowing with an awesome presentation and an amazing particle engine.

Sound - 90
One of the best (and by far my favortie) of the Tekken soundtracks. Its large library of tracks is clear, crisp and continuous. The sound wont dissapoint. Not to forget the voice overs for every character.

Deliverance - 95
With a story mode featured for every charcter, dozens of mini games including tournaments and ranking battle, and an online support featuring uploads of highscores, and downloads of character ghosts.

Replay Value - 100
Like any cookie cutter fighting game, you will want to play more, but with DR you wont have a choice. With all the different modes of play you will be cursing Sony for such short battery life. So settle in and get ready for one kickass PSP game.

anyway sorry for the double post but im considering getting this game (got 150 recently in b-day money lol). there also wont be a psp game that ill get till tenchu come sout in US in november, and other than saving money for the next gen consoles i really have nothing to spend it on.

i enjoy most fighting games , so im pretty sure i might like this one, but i dunno. keep in mind that the olny place i prob ever played tekken was the arcade, and i dont even remember what it was like, lol.

so should i get it?

i would say rent it first. there are so many kinds of fighting games and they arent all for everyone. also, you really cant look past the sticky controls even though you do get used to them. it is a great game in my eyes, but i dont think its a must buy for everyone. the game sharing is a great option becuase this game really excells in the multiplayer. i'd hate to tell you to buy it only for you to dislike it hehe :p

but i dont wanna spend an extra 5 bucks to rent it! lol. if only i could find a demo of it or play it for free somehow to see what its like.

i like most fighting games though, even if the combat system is diff, so i dunno im pretty sure i might like this game, or at least be OK with it. most of the time when i buy a game i know ill like it. this is like the 1st time im having such a hard time deciding if i want a game or not.

i also heard this game was very hard(challenging), and im all for that. i love fighting games where you need insane skills to win.

the 1 thing im still the most "iffy" on is the combat system. im not familiar with tekken. SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THE COMBAT SYSTEM WORKS!? ty, lolz

p.s. wow i just looked up some bleach 3 user reviews on the net, they are on par with this game! and speaking of that(even though its off topic), is it supposed to take 5+ days for a review to be submitted? and yes, if you import games, tekken DR DOES have competition, lolz. ive read a review of an almost non-anime watcher and he gave that game a good score, i was even surprised. (i dont watch bleach myself but i do watch lotsa anime)

Maybe this (?) if you're prepared to take your PSP apart...

Generally I'm not either but this one is really pretty easy. Mine worked out great and I tested it with street fighter alpha. I was doing the Ryu dragon punch probably 9/10 times when attempted and the hyiuken every time. Works like a charm.

If not willing look on ebay for a d-pad topper like those that came with tekken pre-order.
