Tekken: Dark Ressurection is by the far the best fighting game to be released on the PSP yet. It has no competition. Dark Ressurection delivers the full package you would expect from a Tekken game; with all 30 playable characters and 2 new ones, 19 stunning stages and several mini games to keep you going back for more.

Gameplay - 90
The way this game plays as a fighting game on the PSP can make you scepticle but dont underestimate. The controls are used to the PSPs full capabilities with dozens of combos using the control stick and d-pad. Easy controls that are quick to learn and adapt.

Graphics - 95
The visuals of this game are absolutly stunning. Clean cut characters and stages. Sure there can be some chops every now and then but they are rare. The cut scenes of DR are mind blowing with an awesome presentation and an amazing particle engine.

Sound - 90
One of the best (and by far my favortie) of the Tekken soundtracks. Its large library of tracks is clear, crisp and continuous. The sound wont dissapoint. Not to forget the voice overs for every character.

Deliverance - 95
With a story mode featured for every charcter, dozens of mini games including tournaments and ranking battle, and an online support featuring uploads of highscores, and downloads of character ghosts.

Replay Value - 100
Like any cookie cutter fighting game, you will want to play more, but with DR you wont have a choice. With all the different modes of play you will be cursing Sony for such short battery life. So settle in and get ready for one kickass PSP game.

i got this game because i like the tekken fighting system. while you can get serious and learn all of the ten string combos and what not, you can still just have fun learning single moves by themselves. also, i love the deflections and reversals you can do on people. i dont play ps2 much anymore and this is tekken done very well on the psp. and how can you not love gamesharing :p

I just bought this game recently, and I'm slightly dispappointed by it, well especially the gameplay. I'm a big fan on the Tekken games ever since the first one, I haven't played any of the tekken games for the PS2 because I never owned one, but I guess alot has changed since. First, it sux that all the characters come already unlocked for you. It was a big incentive to have to unlock the players yourself. Second the gameplay on the PSP is horrible, some moves that I have always been able to pull on a regular PS controller I can't pull anymore on PS. All the moves that start with a combo of two directions (Right + Down or Left + Down for example) are almost impossible to do with the D-Pad, and the analog stick is not that precise to play with. Any suggestions on how to improve the gameplay better.

i still love the game. the d pad controls on the psp are a little sticky, but i got used to it after a while. i do however wish that they didnt have all the characters unlocked from the start. i thought you never even played the game kage? anyways there really is nothing for us to open our eyes to, you just need to recognize that a lot of other people like this game lol. i agree it has flaws, but most games do. i can see if you could never get used to the controls that the game would be too hard, but if i can do it and i know others can too. This game is best played tournament style with a lot of drunk friends :p

if you're looking for fireballs and crazy cinematic moves, or anime based fighters, this isnt for you. i like it becuase it does a pretty good job of trying to represent many of the popular fighting styles of the world, while balancing it and making it easy enough for beginners while leaving a lot for hardcore fighter fans to learn and get into.
