I borrowed this from work just because they had it and I wanted a good range to try for my new PSP.
I can honestly say I am totally addicted and will be gutted if they ever ask for it back.
I work in a call centre and its a great game to play between calls as I dont have to remember where I am up to or who I just killed or where in the race I am. I can just pick it up, check out the hole I am on and work it out from there.
The look of the game had me thinking it was just a kids game at the start, but its really an all ages game. Some of the unlockables are a bit weird (disposable mask and umbrella golf clubs just to name a few) but they help you level up so its worth going for them anyways.
All in all a great game to play anywhere, I play this in the car, on the ferry to work, at work and when there is nothing on tv. I just love it.
To me, this is one of the best PSP games available. It is the perfect portable game, in that you can quit anytime and it doesn't take forever to get your game on. I have, I believe, unlocked everything available in this game except 2 medals. This indicates that I've played the crap out of this game
Franks, yeah I feel the same with these types of games, however I never owned this one, I can say Turf Masters was/is one of the best games for NEoGeo Pocket Color..
At the VERY LEAST, go rent this game! As many games as I've bought for my PSP there are 2 that I consistently go back to: Hot Shots and Ridge Racer! Two of the earliest RARELY equals two of the best; but there are exceptions to every rule. Rent it. Play it. If you like it, I'll shoot you my save game which has everything unlocked except 2 or 3 medals.
I'll probably just buy it, I hate renting games. I know it'll be fun, and either way, most places like best buy or EB/Gamestop have this game on display to play, i played it once and had to run, but it was fun for the 10 seconds I checked it out.
I'm curious to a level that hasn't reached intrigued yet Do I actually have to WALK to the next hole? If so, screw that! I play video games to AVOID physical exertion!
I don't have any idea how to implement such a feature and still retain the fun aspects of the game. Then again, I don't get paid to design video games w/ GPS functions.
when you've got a "red" score on the scorecard, how do you turn it non-red? I've got no "scores" or "ratings" for any of the courses. The manual says I should have 1 to 5 golfballs per course - nada. If you've got some idea of how to address this, thanks for the feedback.
