I have been waiting for MLB 2K6 to come out for both PSP and PS2. Since they delayed the release date from the original 3/21 date, I couldn't wait, so I went out and got MLB 2006 The Show because it was on sale. It is awesome! I couldn't believe how many animations there are and how smooth it played. The PS2 version of MLB2K6 was dissapointing was so disapointed. It's like I went back in time from the PSP "The Show" game. The PSP version of The Show is actually better than the PS2 version of MLB2k6. Since I don't expect it's PSP counterpart to outperform it, I would say don't even wait, just go out and get The Show. Trust me, I've been playing baseball games since RBI for the NES and this is by far my favorite on any system since RBI. If you're into baseball, get it, don't waste your money on 2k6.

Just to make sure I understand this review... SinceRBI played the PS2 version of MLB2k6, didn't like it, went out and bought MLB 06' The Show for the PSP, then gives the yet to be released PSP version of MLB 2k6 a score of 65 based on an assumption?

2K sports are the best baseball games but i wished they would haved used ESPN

In response to Chitown021: It is absolutely an assumption, a very logical one though. I think it is more than safe to assume that when the PSP version of "The Show" is better than the PS2 version of 2K6, that the PSP version of "The Show" will also be better than the PSP version of 2K6. I was REALLY looking forward to 2K6 like you, but was extremely disappointed with 2K6's effort. Luckily, the makers of "The Show" put out an excellent product. If you want the better game, go with "The Show".

This is a very confusing review. When writing a review of a game, you should point out what parts of the game you did or didn't like. Just saying you didn't like it doesn't really give readers any useful information. Also, comparing the game to another game doesn't really help without reasons. You should try to rate the game based on its gameplay, replayability, graphics, animation, sounds/music, etc. Without some kind of real quantitative information, the review is pretty useless.

I think you should've just review The Show instead. A review is not a review unless it's reviewed.

Thanks for the feedback fellas, but it's pretty obvious that I didn't post to win an English composition contest. As soon as I played 2K6 i took it out of my system, found my receipt, and took it back to the store because the game sucked, but what I told the GameStop guy was that the sound would get really soft when you took the base-runner's perspective, thus qualifying it as defective. Then I came home and wrote the review as to prevent people from wasting their time and possibly their money(depending on if the store takes yours back).

The problem is that you didn't actually give anyone a reason to avoid the game. In fact, you spent more time talking about MLB '06 The Show. If you really want to give people some good information, talk about WHY you didn't like the game without just saying "MLB '06 The Show is better".
You gave the game a 65% even though you barely played it, which is odd.edited: Apr 18 2006
