Playability - A
The game is very simple to just pick up and start playing. For most games, I read the manual but with 007 I just picked it up and got into it. I finished the game on the operative difficulty within 2.5-3 hours and was in love with the ease of the controls the entire time.
Load times - B+
Very quick loading, maybe 20 seconds tops. Takes me almost up to the moment where I think, "Is it going to freaking let me play?!" before finishing loading.
Graphics - A
Some of the best FPS graphics I've seen for the PSP. But, take that opinion with a grain of salt as I've only played Coded Arms.
Sound - B+
Sound was pretty darn decent! Much better than I expected and in the 'movie' style scenes, the sound effects and music were top notch.
Overall - A-
James Bond 007: From Russia With Love is a fun game that you can play multiple times in single player and multiplayer mode. The load time is quick and the graphics and sound effects/music are phenomenal. Definitely worth the $39.99 I paid.

good review. i've been waiting for this one. what's it rated?

the esrb rating is T for Teen. :P fun game, for sure.

Is it anything like the old N-64 Goldeneye? How do the controls work? Is it infrastructure or ad-hoc or both?

yep, you're right, it is not a FPS...it is a third person shooter but seeing how the game is located under the 'FPS' category on the site, i figured i shouldn't ruffle any feathers. nice job being a , though.

ive got this game, its fun, its only ad hoc multiplayer not infrastructure though. It would have been awesome with infrastructure support but oh well! Pick up a copy oh this, its fun, good cut scenes too.
+
This looks great and sounds even better, but how in the HELL can it be *any* good, if you finished the whole game in 3 hours? I mean, is that a typo [you meant to say 30 hours?] or did you actually finish the whole/entire game in just 3 hours!!!???

3 hours is still long for a game.... most of resident evil games were beatable in 2 - 3 hours. That doesn't make the game bad..
+
gamespot gave this game 6.3 link

I just got it and it's definatly a great game, considering the utter crap that's released for the PSP. One of the better ports, thats for sure. Only problems I have is when I crouch, I can't "Bond Focus" because the camera just shows Bond's back and not the target and that you move with the analog stick, which cramps my thumb up. Would be nice if you could move with the DPad instead, but it's still a great game for the PSP. Yes it's a short game but the PS2 version was also. And with the multiplayer and other modes (both with a friend and by yourself) the game has great replay value.

Man, i must disagree with you on this one. I usually play it on the way to and home from work, and at work. Id beat it that day! I cant think of another game i have beat in 3 hours... Even SOCOM took me a couple of days. Maybe if i played it on the easy mode with no actual thought put into itl, just running from one point to another... *shrug* No actually i really cannot think of another game that took less than a day or two to beat. This is definitely too short for me. I would still play it, but not for 50 bucks, ill wait until its in the bargain bin, then pick it up for 5 bucks or somn... Just way too short!
Putting that aside though, it looks solid, even the gameplay movies i have watched looked amazing, i think thats why its so frustrating for me... *shrug* Anyways, glad someone enjoys it i guess-

Dude, 2-3 hours of gaming for something which you paid $40 for is crap... If "most Resident Evil-games were beatable in 2-3 hours" then most RE-games were crap as well. That's just pure facts.
I expect to get much more out of a game than 2-3 hours of fun, unless it's free.edited: Apr 09 2006

did u also forget metal gear solid 1 beatable in 3.5 hours. You guys must be stupid if you judge games by how long it takes you to beat the game.
+
With an avg ratio of 62% @ GameRankings I know for sure that I won't judge this game by this particular review...
And if you were able to beat MGS in 3½ hours then I say you're a hardcore gamer
I'll just pass From Russia With Love for the PSP.
+
The reviews for this range from Rave (this one and PSP Pure) to downright shoddy (go-play).
Difficult one to judge and I sure as hell can't justify £30 on a whim
