| Summary: Super Nintendo gets a facelift
100
We all loved the Super Nintendo, and we all had some sort of platformer. For most it was Mario, for some others it was Donkey Kong, for the rest it was Mega Man. And when it came out back in the day, the graphics were really good if not the best. Since then we have kept our love of old 2D platformers, and few ever stray into the world of 3D without losing their charm, or just being runined altogether. Though there are some that have made a good game in 3D, that wasnt exactly what happened to Mega Man X.
Instead of going into pure 3D, every level is rendered 2D, with a full 3D world all thrown together, the end result? A perfect game that preserved all that was great about the original, and still meets modern day specs. In short, this is a great game, just like it was when it first came out, all they did was push through the 2D wall and carve some beautiful art for us to view/play on our portables. It's so perfect it even recreates those small "slowdown" points that the original had, and we are instantly reminded of the old days when it couldn't get any better than 256 colors!
