I bought the 81's about a month ago in black. I use them for gaming, and mp3's when jogging. They come with 3 different sized earcups and a carrying case. The earcups make the sound quality excellent and really does a nice job of shutting out the ambient noises from traffic or tv's. The lows and highs are both amplified and sound brilliant. These headphones really show off their ability in games like Soccom. Grenades sound as though they're really grenades with a deep boom and echo. Walking on catwalks sounds very realistic as well, with a tiny clang clank of heavy boots on a steel grid. When listening to piano theres a depth of sound that, with your eyes closed, almost makes you feel as though your in the room with the pianist.

The only real downsides to these earphones are the 2 different length cords and the cost. They're a tad expensive if you're not using them daily. I pad $40 for these on sale and I feel that's too much. The cords are different lengths with a short one on the left and longer on the right. Designed to be warn behind the neck, the cords don't really ad any functionality and from time to time the length actually causes issues (specifically when jogging). I do really like the earclips, however I wish they were adjustable for size. They are about 2 inches long and if your ears are smaller they don't fit as snuggly as you might like. They do, however, do a nice job of keeping the headphones ON my ears while jogging.

Overall I would recommend these headphones to joggers and anyone that uses headphones to shut out noise or for long periods of time (I.E. busrides or airplane trips). Cost aside, these headphones are stylish and sound great and are a worthwhile accoutrament to your gaming system.

Good review.
Is it 2 inches wide or 2 inches tall.
I want these headphones so I want to know if they will fit me.

They're about 2" tall. The top of the earclip part extends past the top of my ear..but it still works ok, since the body of the clip is behind the ear.

Then what's the point of buying the 71's? These have a longer cord. These have earclips. These come in black. So..basically..you're wrong.

at the point where the cord splits, is one wire longer than the other?

Yes..quite a bit. The cord is about 3-4 inches on the left ear...and about 12 on the right ear.
