This case has a few nice benefits. It's less than $10 which is great for a hard case. It's also great for showing off a new faceplate or a Japanese Ceramic white PSP since it's clear.
This is my fifth PSP case so I have a lot to compare it to. It's definitely the least expensive, but the Logitech Playgear Pocket is only slightly more expensive. The ArmorLite is a very hard case and would probably protect the PSP from impacts very well. It does have the same problem as most of my cases. It has openings for the PSP's ports that make it far from water tight.
The hard shell is surprisingly easy to scratch. It got its first scuff while I was fighting to get it out of that ridiculous plastic packaging everything comes in these days. I'm sure that after prolonged use it would get very ugly, but at $10 you could always get a new one.
I didn't do any swapping out of UMDs but it would get tedious after a while. Unless you keep your PSP on a strap you run the risk of dropping it while removing the case to swap out a game or movie.
This is far from my favorite case, but I can't say "don't buy it." It may have its faults, but other cases share them and it's only ten bucks. If you want a great case, for only a bit more look to the Logitech PGP. If you want real security and water resistance look at some of the metal cases out there.
But if you imported a white PSP or voided your warranty to change your faceplate, this would be a good case to use once in a while. For the most part I will stick to my Vaja case, but when I want to show off how shiny a Liquid Silver faceplate is, I'll use this one for a bit.
Where did you purchase this case? I bought an Armorlite case last week at Circuit City. My case has a hinge that allows you to open the back so that you can swap out UMDs without having to open up the case. Based on one of the other reviews regarding this case, there are two versions that are out there.
It does scratch very easily and will not protect as well as the Logitech PGP. However, I prefer the Armorlite to the PGP because I don't have to open the case to play while at the same time giving good protection for the PSP. At half the price of the PGP, I think it's a great deal.

Okay, this case is crazy, but it seems people ask a lot of questions on how it looks like( new version). Do yoall want me to post pictures on the case? if so then tell me how i can post pictures on this forum and i might have them ready by Friday.
Hmm. I did get my case from Circuit City but I don't have a hinge on the back to get to the UMD hatch. That would have been nice. I did buy the last ArmorLite case that my local CC had in stock so it was most likely an old version.

There are two versions out there. It seems like your version is the newer version, from what I can tell..."
Wait, was the case in these pictures supposed to be the newer one? Mine looks exactly like that. I just considered the main hinge to be there to allow the case to close over the PSP. I can see how you could use it to open the case from the back and get to the UMD hatch, but I still think it might pose a drop risk while swapping out games.

If you can stomach it without falling asleep ( ) read through both pages of comments in that link. The pics I posted are from the "older" design, which I bought at Circuit City. They've now changed their stock to the newer design.
PSP411 member AznJunkie posted these pics of the newer design on his website: link (from: link ). In those pics you can see the "kickstand" and the UMD door.
theazhrei, since one of your concerns with the case is the inability to swap UMDs because yours does not have the UMD hatch, I suggest that if you have the receipt and your local Circuit City has the newer version that you exhange it.
And thanks to KarateMedia for posting the links that show the differences!
i think im going to go get this today... >>http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/ArmorLite-PSP-Case-778399880977-/sem/rpsm/oid/147821/catOid/-13233/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do<<
Wow I didn't know there were two versions of this case. I guess I got the newer version. I really like the convenience of the UMD door and kickstand. My package showed those features on the back. Here’s a picture of back of the package. link
