I'm not going to make a mad ass long review because I'll only be repeating what everyone else has been saying.
The Hype is true, If you've only seen photos and vidclips your STILL gonna be amazed when you see it in your hands!!
When I opened the box up with the psp inside and turned it on for the first time I was just amazed...I mean if they can make a gadget like this anything is possible!!
Naturally there are flaws, but they're liveable. Actaully there's only one for me:
* The thing is shiny, which means it attracts finger prints and dust like a magnet. (so you NEED a good cover for it)
The rest are not noticable. PSP's gonna be big baby!
Can Someone PLEASEEE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS ONE. I am about to order my JAP PSP from Lik Sang but theres one thing that its making me think about it twice.I dont know this and i want to make it clear before i order it. Pleasee if you know this EXPLAIN IT TO ME. Is it hard to change the Language on your imported psp from Japaness to English? How do you exactly do it? I mean i know that if the games are japaness the letters and everything wont be changed to English but for everything else like the main Menu and stuff will be translated to English. Anywho pleasee if you know this and know how exactly do it, pleasee post it right here for me so i could actually get the PSP or not out of Lik Sang.
When you turn the PSP on for the first time it will ask you if you want the menu in English or Japanese. The English menus are very good and I imagine they will be exactly the same on the NA version. You can also change it back to Japanese if you ever decide to pick up the language
Just make sure you press the Select button when you try to name your PSP. Even when you select english at the begining when it gets to the part about changing the name of the system you have to press select to get to the English alphabet.
By the way, for those of you that live in the US and Order a Jap PSP from Lik Sang, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO ARRIVE AT YOUR PLACE FROM THE DAY YOU ORDER IT???
Another thing, Does anyone has a good Memory stick?? I mean like not the one the psp is offering but different ones that have more space, because 34mb its NOTTING. I need wayyyyyy more space for my music or videos. So does anyone has good Suggestions about good memory sticks that will fit the psp? if so..... please post them here.
My advice would be wait for the US release, it is NOT worth buying an import at the moment, since you won't be able to watch US UMDs. The biggest Memory PRO DUO at the moment is 1 GB, which is still kinda small if you wanna put movies on it.
Extra money....its only $40 or so. if youre gonna dish out over $300 right now for one why not get the value pack. As for the UMD issues download it onto your memory card. I wouldnt want to spend another $20 on a movie i can ONLY watch on the PSP, rather i would by a dvd, burn it on the computer, and d/l it onto the duo stick

well, it depends on the buyer I guess, most of the stuff the comes with the value pack aren't really good quality. the extra $50 is an extra game right there. as for putting movies on the memory stick, I personally don't know how many movies fit on one. It's also kind of annoying that you have to rip it and everything. I do agree that I will not spend a $20 to watch a movie on the PSP. in the end, there is no point to importing a PSP instead of waiting. there is no PSP exclusive game that is such a killer app that you have to have now. save yourself some money and just preorder a US one.
i read a review awhile ago by someone who ripped the longest LOTR movie which clocks in at about 4+ hours? fit it on a 1 GB stick and was able to watch the whole thing in ONE sitting... so draw your own conclusions from that
Theres no point in watching a movie on the psp because of its size, but if Sony has gone from the playstation 2 to the tiny psp with even better graphics than a playstation 2, just imagine what the future will have for SONY!!! Im personally gona be one of the first people to have a PSP in my country!

Erm.. well if you think the PSP's graphics are better than the PlayStation 2's graphics... you're sadly mistakened. PSP's graphics are between Playstation 1, and Playstation 2! Not better than Playstation 2...
i ripped Monty Python and the Holy Grail from dvd and put it on my memory stick and it looks GOOD, however, i think i might've converted it a little wrong because it's kinda bloaty so i'm playing with settings right now...
@pYro - better than ps2 graphics, if you saw the ridge racer demo or some of the other trailers that came on the demo disc you'd crap your pants, as for graphics in games i've only seen lumines and vampire chronicles and they look great also
