| Summary: Fantastic
95
This unit is fantastic. Plugging it in took about 30 seconds.
Pros
Small form factor
Easy to setup
Great video quality in WQVGA (widescreen formatted for PSP) in Normal mode. Economy mode is terrible.
On-Screen display and a remote control
One-Button record
Firmware is upgradeable
Good support site - link
Cons
Flimsy/cheap cables - not well shielded either
Flimsy / Cheap Remote - not a lot of range either
OSD - User Interface is not exactly intuitive
Cannot increase the bit-rate /quality above Normal for PSP
All in all - this is a good purchase - if you plan to watch a lot of video or tv on your PSP. I travel a lot so I plan to dump a bunch of stuff from my Tivo to Memory Stick and take it with me.

that's exactly what it does. think of it as a tivo that uses your memory stick for storage.

Um, If you are recording a regular 4:3 aspect show to watch on the PSP does it stretch it out? I hate that. Also if you are recording something that is wider than the PSP's 16:9 does it leave black bars in the video so it doesn't stretch those?
I really hate all forms of stretchy video. :-)

I picked it up for $129.99 at zipzoomfly.
Widescreen with black bars above and below - are automatically cropped.
4:3 output from my satellite box is zoomed, but whatever the crop/zoom settings are , I cannot tell that it has been stretched.
So with the few shows that I have dropped to the stick, they look very very good.
