When I first saw pictures of the psp i thougt that would be nice to get , but then i read some reviews and saw he specs of the beast and I had to have one.
So i got my psp(JAP) off ebay with ridgeracers. I cant complain about the interface very easy to use. RidgeRacers lokks brilliant lokks as good as RR5 i have for my PS2.
The psp looks the part and looks like an expensive peice of kit than can perform , unlike the ds that looks boring and simple. The layout of the buttons are very good, and with the inclusion of the analouge stick sony has a trump card. The analouge stick it no the best positioned but it can easily be used and it makes a change from the d-pad we are used to seeing on gameboys.
Sony took a small risk when they decided to use UMD's. I think they are great as they are small and are protected so it you have on ein your pocket it wont scratch. The memory stick duo slot is also a great feature that enables people to put their own music, video and pictures on the psp making it the ful entertainment pakage.
However there are a few items sony could have added to make the psp perfect. A Video out would ahve been great and may still be implemented in the future. A screen protector with the value pack or a built in one as the face plate does scratch easily. There are a few other minor points but these do no detract from the system.
Overall sony has launched a next generation product. The psp is an amazing peice of kit that is well worth the £200 i payed for it.
