Who would have thought that a skateboard video of all things could be fun viewing on the PSP? Silver Platter's release of the world famous DC Video is a perfect candidate for watching on the go. Even if you're not a skater, you might find yourself in awe of the tricks and stunts that skaters like Danny Way, Colin McKay, Rob Dyrdek and gobs of others showcase.
The UMD is split up into separate videos of each skater, with about 12 in total. Or you can choose to watch the movie in its entirety. There are also a few extras, such as the Danny Way's famous Wall of China jump or Dyrdek's absurd 'Big Black' shorts. If you've ever seen a skate video you know that you're watching trick after trick. There's no better way to watch these tricks than on the PSP, because you easily stop/start watching and pick up where you left off. You could even take it with you while skating yourself to try out tricks!
Most of the videos are made for a traditional screen, but setting the video to widescreen works beautifully without any noticeable stretching. Music consists of typical skater fanfare, lots of hip hop and punk.
Even if you're not a skater, you'd be hard pressed to not enjoy the 48 minutes of insane jump eye candy. You might also want to check out Silver Platter's other UMD releases such as The Community Project, a snowboard video, and Teddy Bear Crisis which features nearly an hour worth of insane ski tricks. It's great to see these kinds of UMD's appearing on the PSP. Go check them out!
