It's really a very nice collection. Gradius I is quite old but still surprisingly pleasant to play. The more recent ones are more up to today's standards.
The graphics are OK but nothing exceptional. Where the game shines is in the gameplay. The challenge is quite hard (though you can monitor your number of lives/credit and difficulty level), and the great thing is the gradius upgrade system. Once you get accustomed to it it's just very entertaining.
All in all I am very happy with the game, as I love arcade shmups and these are among the best.
