I have been looking for something to keep my PSP in new condition and it seems all the good products had to be ordered online. I am not able to order online but then I found out that I can get this case at CircuitCity. I got this case and I have to say I am impressed with this case and one thing that will really makes it good is how easy it is to put on.

First of all I am going to start with the few little prombles this case has. The case scracthes easly. Second of all, the thing is plastic. But these problems really ain't that bad. The scratches are minor, not even visible when the PSP is on and even when its off in places without a lot of light. But in lots of light, these little scratches are visible but like I said, they don't really look bad and don't mess up the appearence of the PSP.

Now the screen looks clear when the case is on. The case doesn't effect the screen visually all that much but then think about it, any screen product you are going to put effects the visual apperance of the screen very little or by a lot.

The appearance of the PSP while the case is on is very attractive. The cases clear gloss like platic makes it look really good. The case doesn't make the PSP look bulker but it does add about .025 cm to the overall mesurement of the side from the top to the bottom. To give an idea of the measurement from the top of the screen to the bottom and overall, the case does make the PSP not fit in Pelican travel case.

An important factor is the controls. The controls are all accessible guring gameplay and very easy to access. The case doesnt effect the use of the button during gameplay at all.

Now what is really good about the case is the fact that you can connect to the USB port, Headphones and the Charger while the case is still on. The best part is that the UMD Door is accessible but the memory card slot isn't though.

Overall it is a good case. The fact that it is only $10 makes it a good product and worth buying.

BiZG:

Please look at the pictures here: link

Is this the same case that you have? These are the pictures I posted in your prior thread so that we can clear up the confusion about what you mean when you say the UMD door is accessible.

BiZG: great pics. I wish more people would take the time to publish pics like yours of the other cases. You can get a real sense of the feel & bulk. Thxs

Ozdaman: Do you mean the pictures *I* posted in the comment above? Those are my pictures, which I took last night. Hence the fact that I posted them and that they are on my self-named website.

I posted them last night b/c bizg didn't seem to be sure if his case was the same as mine.

Okay, i looked at the pictures and it seems the case i got is different. first of all, it doesn't have the joytech logo at the back and you don't have to screw in the case. this case is just a simple click on case and at the back is a cut out place that opens so you can access the UMD door. i wish i could send pictures i just don't have the time right now.

BiZG:

The case in my photos does not screw in. As I mentioned in your other thread, this is simply two plastic halves that are hinged together and which clip together at the top. Perhaps you are seeing the plastic tabs at the top of the front half of the case. These fit into the two holes at the top of the PSP, so you can drop the back of the case down with removing the whole case. But there are no screws and this case does not permanently attach itself to the PSP.

I'm interested in what you actually have. I wonder if Joytech updated the Armorlite, or if you got a different case somehow packaged in an Armorlite package. Or maybe *I* have some strange Armorlite version that differs from the "real" version. Hmmm....

Alucard11: My case cost the same as BizG's: $10.00 (actually $9.99+tax, to be exact). The question, though, is: What do you get for your $10? I believe my case to be an Armorlite. BizG believes his to be an Armorlite. We might both be correct. So if you go to Circuit City looking for an Armorlite, you might end up with BizG's version, which appears to be slightly different from mine.

That's why I'm being such a stickler about clearing this up. What use is the information on this site if you go to the store and end up buying something completely different from what you expected it to be?

BTW - I love my Armorlite case. It gets dirty and smudgy, but it keeps my PSP (relatively) safe!

Heh, yeah... looking back at my post, my thoughts didn't come out the way I was thinking them!

If I get a chance this week, I might try to stop by Circuit City and see if they have the Armorlite in stock (and see which one it is...)

OK, I'm obsessed, but here's some more info:

A GIS for "joytech armorlite" pulls up some pictures where the back of the case looks like mine, such as here: link -- you can even see the Joytech logo on the back, which BiZG says is not on his.

Curious, I stopped by a Circuit City. They had two Armorlites in stock which seemed to fit BiZG's description. Due to the packaging design, I could not see the back of the case, but based on the illustrations on the packaging, it appears that 1) It has a hinged flap in the middle of the back plate, which can drop down to allow access to the UMD door, and 2) it has some sort of kick-stand on the back, so that it can stand upright. As you can see from my pictures in the post above, my Armorlite has neither of these things. The front of the case, which was the only thing I could see through the packaging, also appeared to have very subtle differences in its design.

I may try to email Joytech and see what's up with this design change. Interesting. Well, at least to me it is.

got mine at circuit city, mine looks 100% like yours, KarateMedia.
It has a joytech logo on the back, listed on numerous sites with pictures of the one identical to yours. chill out dude, no need to go Inspector Gadget. you have the right case.

your details..
1) hinged flap is a feature of the case, the front face that bolts into the top two areas of the PSP holds the console, the back can unlock with ease, revealing access to the UMD Panel with the front face still on
2) Kick stand- just checked, the ArmorLite has this feature too. Release your front face plate while keep your PSP docked in the rear one, now rotate it downwards till it hits about 270 degrees. There's your kickstand.

as for the subtle differences.. you sure they didn't just arrange the items on the wrong shelf? that's what they did @ my circuit city.
Perhaps Joytech didn't print the logo on his (bizg's) case, i don't see why they wouldn't accidentally do this. The logitech PGP? logitech logo. Stealth? madcatz logo. Pelican skin grip? pelican logo.

as for design change..... nothing to say :D
