I didn't notice anthing different as far as picture is concerned, mine looked completely clear when I was playing. You could only tell it was on when the screen was dark. It was pretty difficult to apply though, considering how easy it looks.

I got this screen protector before reading the reviews and was a bit tentative, but I have to admit this is one of the best $5 screen savers I have every used. I have put screen savers on my SMT5600, digital camera, and pocket PC, and this was by far the easiest to install and most "bubble free." I think this has to do with the fact that this screen saver is stiffer than the other ones I have used which made installation simpler. In addition, I have noticed no picture degradation or distortion whatsoever. I have to say that the price/performance ratio is the best I've encountered for a screen saver product.
