I must admit that I love the black one, and I also wanted a black iPod, but I wound up getting a white iPod and so I just felt the need to match (and be original at the same time while in the NYC subways - LOLOL).
It looks every bit as beautiful as it does in the pictures if not more. Sucks that I will have some issues with movies since it plays the movies from the Japan Region (I think that's Region 2) but I didn't buy my PSP for movies - it's not my thing, so I really don't lose out.
If you want something different but still want it to be Sony PSP and aren't willing to hit up the faceplates then this is where it's at and it cost the same (just the movie region issue to consider). LOVE IT!
I am perfectly happy with the looks of my white PSP. Adn actually i have heard a few good things "hey that looks cool" from Americans who work around me. I only have an issue where my digital nub on the bottom left tends to drift to the left. So like if i am playing the game SOCOM, and i am stopped, fingers off the buttons, my reticle always slowly moves to the left... Even in other games, so i know its not the game, but it has not done anything other than aggrevate me a little. In fact in SOCOM it has helped! LOL When i al cuttin the pie around corners, i just hold down the strafe button and let the PSP very slowly move me around the corner stealth like, so idont make a sound! hehe Its great >D
