This case is cool. It uses magnets to hold the UMDs onto little arms, you then slide the whole arm assembly along a track, and it pulls all the arms together and slides everything into the case. It's very cool.
The only drawback I see to it is that there are open areas. There is a chance, slight as it is, that if you had sand or something abrasive in your pocket, the sand could possibly get into the case and then into the UMD window, and then when your UMD started to spin, it would scratch itself up.
Since UMDs are expensive, I tend to be very protective of them. I would rather have a CD binder / Minidisk binder type of solution. Just to be sure nothing could happen to them.
But for wanting to keep a few UMDs in your bag, pocket, car, mailbox, medicine cabinet, knitting basket, etc... then this is a great solution. Nice and compact and astetically cool to use. I just wouldn't take it to the beach. Just to be safe.
