Summary: Great product with one minor flaw

I think this is a good product. It sticks to your windshield using a power suction cup, that when applied correctly (everything being cleaned and slightly moistened), practically can not come off.

It rests on an opposable arm that can bend in any direction and angle, even multiple ones. You can mount it on any glass surface (or smooth metal). It looks nice and hold the PSP securly.

I don't know what would happen in a car crash, but there's a good chance the thing will sit tight and not move (obviously depends on how severe the crash was).

The only flaw I found was where the plastic attaches the cradle to the arm. About 30 seconds after I took it out of the box, I was looking at it and bending the arm. I must have twisted it a bit because the plastic cracked and it would not stay on anymore. A bit of epoxy fixed that right up and I have had no issues from it.

If I was to pick again, I think I may choose the Multi-Angle Mount over this one (also by Arkon).

Why the F*CK would anybody need to tape their PSP to their windshield?

I am just curious, are you surprised at the fact that the PSP is stuck to the windsheild or that he carries his PSP in his car? I hear many people complaining about this, yet I always see these cars with TV's and Xbox's or PS2's which in my opinion, is much worse.

It's only used as a MP3 player in my car... Line into my car stereo... I dont watch movies or play games...

Hopefully the GPS tihng will eventually come out, and I will use it for that too.

It sticks to the windshield using a power suction cup... So you can reposition it and you dont have to mount it perminatly, but the suction is strong enough that you dont have to worry about it taking a spill.

Thanks for the review yoyo_pete. Do you know if they sell these outside the U.S. and can you please also tell me why the multi-angle mount is better? I am thinking of getting one of those.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you pete. The multi-angle seems like a better choice. It just looks better.

I think the multi-angle looks and works better... This one is just kind of an arm you bend into the shape you need... not as aesthetically pleasing is all...

As for transmitters, I recommend the "Monster RadioPlay" or the "Belkin Tunecast II"... Really any FM transmitter that is around the $70-$100 mark should work great. The $20 ones will not cut it.

Wouldn't it be better to directly connect the PSP to the car stereo through the aux input or a tape deck?

I have the Multi Angle Mount in my truck... For MP3's... Direct line to the AUX hookup on my stereo. Works great... The Mount is right in front of the seat, and I ran the cable under the carpet. Very clean install, and the PSP is within finger distance... Too bad I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

My car is a Mazda 3.. It has an in-dash 6 disc changer, no aux inputs... It's made to connect with some propritary stuff.. No RCA or Mini-Phono or anything...

Trust me... I would have a line hardwired in if the stupid thing supported it. But it doesnt.
